Fisherman's Memorial Park, Digby, Nova Scotia

Fishermen's Memorial, Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada

The Fishermen's Memorial Park in Digby, Nova Scotia remembers all fishers lost sailing along the Fundy coast and Annapolis Basin. Digby now has a famous scallop dredging fleet and lobster boats.
The monument's flanking blocks name fishers lost at sea, with space for more names to be added on the reverse sides if fatal incidents happen in future.

The central obelisk has a moving version of the Christian Lord's Prayer, rewritten for the lives of fishers.

The Lord is my pilot, I shall not drift.
He lighteth me across the dark waters.
He steereth me in deep channels, He keepeth my log.
He guideth me by the star of his holiness, for his name's sake.
Yea, though I sail mid the thunders and tempests of life,
I shall fear no danger for thou art with me.
They love and thy care, they shelter me.
