Quay wall, Alderney


Alderney's fishing quay has a memorial wall of eight plaques to men who lived and died there. 


1. In Loving memory of Wilfred Burland drowned in pilot boat accident Braye Harbour 15th December 1963.


2. In loving memory of Edward Boughton-Leigh, a dearest son and brother who loved the sea,
4th January 1968 - 26th November 2000.


3. In loving memory of Jean Paul Dupont aged 33 years and Tim Smart aged 32 years
dedicated fisherman lost at sea on 22 February 2005.



4.  Harry Quinain, fisherman, died 19 August 1977, So he passed over and all the trumpets sounded for him on the other side. 


5.  In memory of John A.L. Quinain born 1914, Lifetime fisherman, seaman and Pilot of Alderney. Passed away March 1994.


6.  In loving memory of a cherished husband Graham (Boogie) White aged 38 years drowned when the Fleur De l'Ocean sank in the Race, 14th July 1985 RIP.


7.  In memory of Walter (Parrot) Greenslade and John (Chubby) Langlois who died in Braye Bay Friday 13th November 1959.


8.  Clive Low Aug 30th 1932 - Feb 19th 1997. A harbour thou hast made for me on the eternal shore, there will I rest within the port of heaven for evermore.
